Using a Coach
Everyone can call himself (or herself) a trainer and say that he provides coaching, regardless of his training. While others not so excellent coaches have lots of coach-specific training some fantastic coaches have little or no coaching-specific training. Training and training isn’t a promise that a trainer will be a great match for you. But some kind of training must indicate a level of professionalism and commitment to self-development.
If you select a trainer, it is important to make sure you choose someone who works well with the specific kind of target you are trying to achieve. Some trainers are accountability partners – monitoring your progress and checking in with you – but may lack the resources that will help you know what is currently getting in your way and deal with those obstacles.
